According to historical data, the average import volume of cotton in 2003 and 2010 in 7 and August was 207 thousand tons and 221 thousand tons respectively. Among them, the total import volume reached 2005 in the 2005 year, and 290 thousand tons and 286 thousand tons respectively in 7 and August.

In the current year

With a continuous "blowout" situation, imports in 7 and August this year are higher than the average in the same period of the year. They may even exceed 2005, and they are not expected to be below 300 thousand tons.

According to this estimate, the total import volume of cotton in China this year is expected to reach 5 million 300 thousand tons, a record high.

India, the United States, Australia, Brazil and Uzbekistan are the main countries in China in September 2011 -2012 May.

The country of origin has exported 1 million 738 thousand tons, 993 thousand tons, 374 thousand tons, 332 thousand tons and 242 thousand tons of cotton to China respectively, accounting for 86.5% of China's total cotton imports since the beginning of this year.
